Price range search filtering

I need the price range search filtering to be fixed within the current category.

At the moment if you shop by Brand A and then click price range $0.00 - $49.99

you would get all products (Brands A thru Z for example) within $0.00 - $49.99

As per my example I would just want Brand A $0.00 - $49.99

Sidenote: The price range sidebox shows only after you've clicked on a brand. It doesn't appear on initial load.

Is an addon going to take care of this or will maintaining code be necessary?

I really need help with this one. Any advice? Will I have to change PHP? Why wouldn't the code from Zen Cart work properly? Assuming the fellow before me didn't change the code.

OK, I'm getting closer to this.... I think.

includes/modules/sideboxes/*.php

is where you edit the sideboxes.

But, why wouldn't it be working correctly? Shouldn't Zen Cart's code be OK?

I have run into the same issue. Were you able to figure out how to fix the 'Search by Price'?
