Import mailing list from previous application

Is it possible to import a mailing list from an application other than Zen Cart? I have a mailing list of customers who signed up for newsletters in a previous website I had...

Just wondering if I can add those e-mails to the Zen Database without asking all of them to re-register?

Are you talking about creating accounts from these or do you have the 3rd party Newsletter Subscribe module installed?

The first is most difficult as it requires a password for each.

I have a list of customers in a PHPlist list application which I thought I could insert into my Zen database without them re-register again. (need to send newsletters to the new list AND the older list of customers)

Or must I keep the PHPlist as a stand alone and send seperate newsletters to the old list seperately??

I do not believe that your phplist has any password credentials to transfer and as I stated ZenCart expects and requires a user to have a password
