Default Changing store name & host

I am planning on changing my store name and host. I read the tutorial on switching hosts and I know I need to backup my current database but since the site will have a new name and security certificate does the tutorial apply or is there an easy step by step process to do this?

It's the same as in the tutorial, except that you also change the domain names in the configure files.
