Index page problem?

I've switched templates. The flash logo that was in the prior template is not appearing in the new template (blue_sky).

I've used the admin section to get the appropiate left and right sideboxes but this one is a head scratcher for a newbie such as myself.

I've searched and searched here but can't find the answer to my dilemma.

I can tell you what's not happening.

The flash files, HTML, PHP for the previous template is in public_html. So, for some reason the new template doesn't read/execute those files in public_html.

Have you inserted the necessary code into the new template's relevant file? Each template has it's own set of overides, so for example code that was placed in the tpl_header.php of your previous template now needs to be added to the tpl_header.php of your new template in the new template's overide folder, same goes for the define pages....hope that helps! :)

Thanks that's the type of answer I needed.

I don't think the fellow before me has anything in order it's a mess so I'll have to roll up my sleeves and look into it.

For example, you mentioned "override" folder. I have no such folder.

The blue_sky template has no overrides I believe.

The blue_sky template is in itself an override (custom) folder

Basically, everywhere you see a classic folder you can have an override (custom) folder as well

For example, your blue_sky template will be in includes/templates/

Also in includes/templates/ is the template_default folder....within this folder are several folders you can copy what you change into the blue_sky folder

So the tpl_header.php file originally residing in includes/templates/template_default/common/ you would copy over to includes/templates/blue_sky/common/ and edit there....or if the bue_sky template *already* uses a custom tpl_header.php file, that is the file you need to find and edit in includes/templates/blue_sky/common/tpl_header.php.

With the defines files you will have a similar structure in includes/languages/english/html_includes with the override folder structure being includes/languages/english/html_includes/blue_sky/
