Add more zone to shipping module

Hi, I used the zones.php file to create a new shipping module named EMS. On EMS I need 6 shipping zones, so i edited this part

$this->num_zones = 3; 

and made it

$this->num_zones = 6; 

but the result is not very helpful, I'm just getting additional boxes that are unusable(I've attached a picture).

More than likely what has happened is that you:

1 Installed your new shipping module

2 AFTER it was installed you changed the code from 3 to 6

What you really want to do is:

1 Save all settings to NotePad as they will be lost

2 REMOVE the shipping module

3 Change the number of Zones from the default of 3 to what you want

4 INSTALL the shipping module

5 Re-configure the shipping module ... you did remember to save your settings before removing it, right?

I hope it's okay to post in the same thread a different question. After getting the module to appear okay in the backend, now I'm having problems with it working. I entered the rates like this

0.5:32.00,1:36.00,1.5:40.00,2:44

and country codes like this

CA,CN,AE,CO,DE,GR,HK,IT,JP,NO,US,TH,TW,HU,VE

I also entered 0.2 weight on product page, but when I try to calculate shipping for a product it says

The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time.

Could you tell me what I'm ding wrong ?

Sounds like a Tare Weight in the Shipping/Packaging or you have an address not defined ...

This will result on the Zone Rate module for the US with 1lb in the Cart and the Tare Weight set to 0:3

Zone Rates (The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time) $0.00

Setting the Tare Rate to 0:0 with a Maximum at 50lbs gives:

Zone Rates (Shipping to US (1 x 1.00lb(s))) $36.00
