newbie/ help with putting cart into the right folder

Hi, I have succesfully downloaded zencart and put it into a folder that I called "shop". But I would like it to be on the very first page of my website and tried heeps of times, but just couldnt find an answer anywhere. I know it will be something really easy. thanks all

if you put it in / then your cart will show up as www.yourdomain.com, if you put it in /shop/ then it will show up in www.yourdomain.com/shop/

so stop putting it in a folder called "shop" and then it will be www.yourdomain.com

/ would be the path to your web server

Hi I have done that, and it has not worked, that is why I ended up with "shop"

I have deleted the cart (I ended up deleting the cart manually )and tried to resubmit but this is what I still get below.

The installation can not be completed:

- This directory already exists or the directory field is empty
- No valid directory name provided.
