All this verbal commitment from GoDaddy is quite touching, but still does not escape the fact that their servers are not technically suited to efficient and reliable e-commerce hosting.
Your FIRST requirement when looking at e-commerce, is a compatible, robust and reliable hosting environment - one that will deliver efficiency for your future customers, and prevent technical failures that no amount of after-sales customer-service cooing can resolve.
It's pleasing to see that GoDaddy has started to take notice of the bad press it gets (not only on this forum), but until there is clear evidence that they are capable of providing all the critical factors necessary for professional and sophisticated e-commerce, hosting anything but a 5-page flat html site with them remains risky.
Is YOUR business success worth this risk? If so, stay with them.
If not ...
