Add New Items to EZ page? Is it possible?

hi all:

is there a way to add the 'new items' center box to the bottom of an ez page? my understanding is that ez page content is simply stored content in the db and is not able to handle an include. if this is possible, any help would be appreciated.

To my knowledge you are correct...
EZ Page editor accepts only html and will not parse php

thx. that's kinda what i am seeing. anyone else have any ideas? i'd really like to be able to do this (parse a php include inside an ez page)...

i've basically moved the entire front end of my site to ez pages and this would be a very nice feature. basically, i would like to be able to do an include like define_main_page.php. i can do it in the define pages, but not in ez pages.

Then why not use define page?

There is a plugin that can help parse ezpage, but it is not recommended because of several security concerns.

First you need to get the define page generator from the download section to create a new page.

Then, you can check the code from other parts of zencart that create the list of new products, duplicate that code in the appropriate parts of your new page (header_php.php should be used to query products, then the code to display them can be placed in the tpl file)
