1054 Unknown column 'COWOA_account' in 'where clause'

PHP version 5.2.6
MySQL version 4.1.22-standard


It's been a few months since I worked on this site. Suddenly I'm getting this error message when I try to log in as and existing user.

1054 Unknown column 'COWOA_account' in 'where clause'
in:
[SELECT customers_id, customers_firstname, customers_lastname, customers_password, customers_email_address, customers_default_address_id, customers_authorization, customers_referral FROM customers WHERE customers_email_address = '[email protected]' AND COWOA_account != 1]

I'm guessing, by some similar error messages regarding other modules, that this may be caused by an SQL update on the server.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this please. Everything else is working well.

I suspected it's a database problem but I don't know how to fix it. Everything else I have read regarding 1054 errors suggested I updating zencart install.

Perhaps I should have made myself a little more clear. I've been working with ZenCart for some time and set up 4 successful shops. This is my first post here, so that may be some indication that I do use the manuals, documents and forums without posting unnecessarily.

Note how the caps show UP WHEN they're not SUPPOSED to.

Do you have Cpanel? If so, try the database fix.
Have you installed any mods that might have caused this?
Have you used the developer's tool kit under Tools in the admin to try and find the file using the term?

Database Fix in Cpanel didn't do anything.
I had installed Easy signup and login but it had been working without problem.

FIXED

I re-installed Easy Signup and Login including applying the SQL patch again. Seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for your help dbltoe. I continue to suspect that an SQL update on the server sent things awry.
