Manually set site down

Hi,

Got a nasty issue for some reason and cannot log into the admin with the admin account even with a password reset.

So, here's what I need to do

Set site to complete down with all sideboxes/infos off with only the "M" mode showing.

What file(s) do i need to manually edit???

I think you should do it in your database . in configuration table ..

you can manually set the proper filed to True .. ..

BACK UP DB before doing so .

There has got to be another way other then doing a db edit

im not exactly sure , this much im sure about , someone here can help you out with code changes to do what you want.

but with proper back up of db , you should.t have any problem setting those values . i did that on my test server before responding to you and worked pretty well

but then again , i would wait and see what others would recommend

why can't you login to your admin .. what nasty problem do you have ..

Host upgraded their system which also upgraded php to v5.x

I found a way around this by setting downloading php to v4.x in order to gain access. This allowed me to log in and set everything down.

I then reset it back to v5.x.

Hosts do nice things at times. Dang garden monkeys if you ask me

Thanks for your help though. That was going to be my next step using your suggestion if the above had not worked.

i have zen version 1.38 installed on my server using PHP 5.2.6 and mysql 5 with no problem . im not sure what version you are using . but 1.38 should work with php 5

What is the Version of ZC and the database patch level?

reason why I ask is because there are older versions of ZC that dont work with php5. (Or if you didnt upgrade everything)I did the same thing myself once or twice.

Hey Hey Q, your alive and kicking...lol

Been awhile, and yes your right. The ZC version currentlly in use is not P5 compatible and we are doing a complete new build because of the massive host updates and errors created after. The cart is really messed and now it is a scramble to do a rebuild.

Which is a chore, but it comes in good timing as we are doing a rebranding of the entire product line.

And, I now see there is a bridge for ZC and J1.5 which is been a long time coming but will give us a few advantages once completed.

Of course bridges are not ideal, but until someone does a complete conversion to work within the structure of Joomla like that which I've seen of other carts this will have to do.
