problem with usps shipping

i was testing out some functions on my site(yes im new to building sites) and i noticed a problem during checkout where it wont give rates for usps postage. ups calculations seem to go ok b/c they show up. heres what its saying

We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)


is this something i should contact usps about or is this being caused by zencart? im using 1.3.8a on godaddy hosting. my address is correct b/c its been attached to my paypal address for 2 yrs and never had a problem.
