Creating General Non-shop Pages

For non-shop pages like about us, news etc. is it best to create an EZ-page for these? Also if I wanted to have the HTML as a separate file (and set the Internal Link URL) instead of being stored in the DB, what's the best place to store the files or does it not matter? This is my first time with Zen Cart and I want to make sure I follow the best practices. I'm thinking the 'html_includes/my_own_template' folder.

Also, what would the Internal Link URL be? I tried 'includes/languages/english/html_includes/my_own_template/our_charity_partners.php' but it didn't work. I'm still kind of confused about where to put things and how to access them.

Zencart uses overrides which are php pages that take the place of the default php pages - in some cases.

Then, there are templates which are where one would make a cosmetic change. Rather than explain it here, you should a search for overrides and custom templates in the forum and knowledge base.

Thousands have gone before you so you will have to do some reading to avoid the pitfalls.
