Couple things I can't find for layout - ip, white bar, home link

I can't seem to find anything on these two things I'd like to do.

1) Move the Home and Log In section to a side box. (so my logo is flush with the top of the page)

2) Remove the part that gives the ip at the bottom of the screen. (can't search for the ip thingy because ip isn't a long enough term.)

Thanks for your help. I've found so many answers from searching I just can't seem to locate these.

admin > config > layout settings > Footer - Show IP Address status > set to "0"

Awesome. Some how I missed that ip one, I was in there looking around too.

I'll read up on the login one.
