I was reading all the posts about this issue but I could not sort my problem .

I just would like to add one or two banner boxes in the right or left colum of my site but I do not understand how shall I do it . I added a new banner from Tools > Banner Manager (it was a .gif file) but it appeared over an existing banner! So I disabled it immediately

Pls could anyone explain me how to do it? I would like to have a couple of advertising banners (of my products) as clicks can be tracked, and I think it is quite helpful. Moreover, if I am not wrong you can set the start and expiring date of the banner... so I can rotate several banners in the same position.
