Header - white box with red X

My header in FF looks good, but at the center top a little white box with a red X is showing up in IE. I reloaded the image and made sure it had jpg quality. How can I get rid of it?

Is it the burnerbooks site you're having the problem on? If so, the w3.org validator tells me there are 106 errors on the home page. Many of those can be ignored -- like the ones dealing with unencoded ampersands, but others are more serious. IE may be becoming confused. Fix the errors and see if the white box goes away.
