Attributes filepaths keep disappearing

I have a store with downloadable products. For some reason the attribute files keep disappearing and then my customers can't download their products when they purchase them. The files are not disappearing from FTP just from the attribute manager. When you go to look at the path it says NONE instead of the filepath that should be there. Is there something we're doing wrong while setting up the attributes or is this a glitch in Zen? We use dropdown option values, should I use Radio instead? Helppppppppp

Are the files actually showing in the Attributes Controller with a green icon next to them?

Can you reproduce this on an order yourself?

Have you an example of a Product URL with a disappearing download that we could peek at?

Does it "always" disappear or "sometimes" disappear on this product?

Nope if you look at the attribute controller you will see:

$0.00 $0.00

You have to click on Edit and then if you look at the bottom. I've attached 3 screen shots so you can see what I get. The only thing I could think of is 1) it's the option value (dropdown rather than radio), 2) the fact that I use rars in my option names or 3) the default attribute box

And my store isn't the only one this is happening to either. We're stumped!

What is the Option Name set to on the Option Type for the Attribute with the Download?

I don't see a filename on the Attribute you are showing ...

That's because that's what keeps disappearing. The designers sets up the filepath when they add the new product but for some reason every couple of weeks the filepaths go poof! The filepath for that particular product was /impsprovisations/ip-bunnytemplate.zip until it disappeared. We just want to know if there is something we are doing to cause this and if so what. In my store it seems to be just commercial use items (it's a digital scrap store) but in another store it's tagger sized kits only.

What are you using to add Products?

NOTE: the downloads were not designed to be in subdirectories ... the were designed to be in the
/download

directory where you only add the filename to the field ...

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

What add-ons do you have?

Filezilla for FTP, they all have Admin usernames & passwords to add their own products to Zen and they all do it as they've been shown.

They are in subfolders. Each designer has their own subfolder in the store/download folder hence the /impsprovisations, the full filepath would be /store/download/impsprovisations but in zen all the add is the /impsprovisations/filename.zip. I'm not about to give them all access to the same folder because then they could delete each other's zips.

My store is having the same problem. All of our products were fine yesterday and today, any products with 3 or more downloads have no attributes.

We know this is not an operator error because people have purchased the affected products before today and downloaded with no problems at all. Our attributes are set up just like every other digital scrap store and it appears that this issue is not contained to one store. This has happened in four stores that I know of.

We can have all of the manufacturers re-do the attributes, but this seems to be a recurring problem in digital scrap stores.

Just wanted to see if anyone had found a solution yet as it seems to be happening to more and more stores.
