Database patch

The database patches required for jqlightbox can be found in the file install.sql inside the package. Please install the patches by

1.
Go to Admin→Tools→Install Sql Patches
2.
Open the file install.sql, copy the content and paste into the text box, click “send”.

Files/Folders upload

Open the package, change all the folders named YOUR_TEMPLATE into the name of the template you are using.

Upload all files/folders. This module should not overwrite any file except the file mentioned above
Configure JQLightbox

Go to your Admin→Configuration→JQLightbox to config it, this should be fairly easy. After that you can enable JQLightbox.

Can we get some real installation instructions? I have no idea what file the author is referencing when he says that it will be overwritten, but there looks to be a whole lot more than 1 that would get overwritten.

Is it not possible to specify the location of the *2* folders that need to be renamed? Why is extra_configures empty?

I have no affiliation with this mod or the author but, here is how I installed it.

I installed the following three SQL files via the "Install SQL Patches" on my site in this order:
install
Ajax_install
cj_loader_install

(That's it for SQL) IGNORE everything else.
IGNORE the min folder.

Upload to root >index_ajax.php & index.php (index.php might need to be compared with your current index.php. If they are different, then use winmerge to merge them)

Now focus on the includes folder and upload as you normally would. The structure is correct. Some folders are empty so, just dump them in the directory they need to be.

Check and recheck to make sure your files and folders are in the correct places, then go to your
Admin >Configuration>JQLightbox and turn it on.

I hope that helped.
I didn't touch anything in the "min" folder and it works just fine.

Installing the JQZoom mod will be easier because you'll be uploading a majority of the same files that were included in the JQLightbox.

I am building a new store and wanted to use the majic zoom module however I came accross the jquery zoom.

I already have image handler 2 and zen lighbox installed. As jquery zoom works very well with jquery lightbox I though I would install the jquery lightbox instead of zen lightbox.

Heres what I done

I uploaded all of the files. Uninstalled the sql patch from zen lightbox and installed the 3 sql patches that came with jquery lightbox.

I have enabled the jquery lightbox from the admin area however the lightbox affect does not work.

Im not too sure why this is. I have been reading through this thread but havnt manged to come up with an answer.

I have admin>configurations>IH resize images set to yes - i read in one of the posts that this is a requirement.

You might want to take a look at the site as when you click on the image on the product page the page go's funny then shows the image

any help would be appreciated

Hi am having a problem with this, I have tried to install it about 5 times now with no luck.

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a.
I have just done a total new installation of zen cart and uploaded all the files needed for jqlightbox and installed the sql for the data base.

But i keep getting the same problem every time, when i click on an image it opens for a split second like its going to work, with a black background but the image doesn't appear it shows a small cross like there is no image, then the image just loads in the current page.

this all happens within a split second. you can see what I mean here

Yup my site has exactly the same error. it acts as if it will bring up the lightbox but it doesnt

think there must be some sort of confliction somewhere

Ive gone back through all of the files to make sure everything has been uploaded correctly. Everything has.

1 thing which i noticed was that the ajax directories are empty

is this the way it should be

the extra_configures directory is also empty
