    Default Attribute not being applied

I have recently inherited a site. The site was also recently moved and zen cart was reinstalled by a developer at the web hosting company we are using; I believe it was working properly before it was moved and reinstalled.

The problem is this: we currently have one product, and we need to apply a 2% handling fee to that one product. I have created the attribute and attached it to the product. If you look at the product page, you can see the attribute at the bottom of the page (although the radio button is missing):

    http://www.tarheeltour.com/cart/inde...products_id=73

However, when you add it to cart, the attribute is not being added in. The "default attribute marked as selected" is "yes"

Here is the main store page:

    http://www.tarheeltour.com/cart/inde...age=page&id=10

The situation is somewhat critical, as we're losing $45 on every sale right now.

When I add the product it adds it as:
    $2,250 +2% ($45) for $2,295 ...

This appears to be working ...

The option type is set as Dropdown.

I've done a little testing with it.

If the link goes directly to the product page, it appears to be added in in the shopping cart, but the 2% fee is still missing when the person actually checks out. Also, I need to start adding more product to the store, so just linking to the one product isn't really a solution.

What do you think is the most likely cause here? Templating issue? Installation issue? Zen Cart bug?

    Define "missing" ...

    2 are $4,590.00 ... correct?

    Sub-Total: $4,590.00

    Total: $4,590.00

Well, when the person actually checks out, the 2% fee is not there.

Also, it should not be letting you add a second registration; it has a limit of 1 on the quantity. If you go through the main page to add the product to cart, it limits the quantity; if you go to the product page first and add to cart, it allows you to add it multiple times.

Even on checkout I am seeing:
    Shopping Cart Contents
    Qty. Item Name Total
    1 x 2009 Membership

    * 2% Service Fee: 2%

    $2,295.00

    Sub-Total: $2,295.00
    Free Shipping: $0.00
    Total: $2,295.00

If the product is $2,250.00 and the 2% is $45.00 ... what else should I be seeing?
