    Default Upload numbering

Hi - I have searched for - and not been able to find any reference to this - so will ask here..
When a file is uploaded (Product Option - file) - it is numbered incrementally - and the file uploaded reference can be found in the files_uploaded table..
If I want to reset all my numbering - I can empty my images/uploads folder - and remove records from files_uploaded table - but when I next test an upload - it is numbered with the next number - rather than starting again at "number 1" - so what I am asking - is where is the system taking that numbering from - and is there a way to reset it to start at number 1 ?

Thanks for your reply - I have been testing an upload attribute - and wanted some way to reset the numbering...took a while for me to find the TRUNCATE function - under the "empty" button - hope I got it right - it seems to have worked...
Again thanks - another of those nagging problems solved...
