Card Verification Number

I need to figure out how to get the cart to ask customers for the 3 or 4 digit verification number on the back of the card. I know this will ensure that the merchant will pay a lesser rate so I feel it's important. Has anyone made this change?

What payment module are you using? (CVV is already built into most)

I'm going to be using Authorize.net but I haven't actually configured the cart to start accepting cards yet. I just run a trial transaction on the site and it never asked me for the verification code. Is this one of those deals where once Authorize.net is set up and running it will then ask for the code?

When you configure the module you need to be sure you have the setting for CVV on -

Request CVV Number
Do you want to ask the customer for the card's CVV number
