Url of products?

Zen Cart 1.3.8a

This is probably a basic question, but I could not find it in any other posts...

I set up a huge html site (1,700 pages+) and then added a shopping cart after the fact (won't do that again). About 1300 of the pages have a unique product. I would like to link each of the html pages directly to the zen cart product.

2 Different Products...

What is the "Path"....does this have something to do with the cookies? Long and short, what do I need to do to link to say product id 1343 or 749 or 294, etc?

Ultimately, you may be wasting your time trying to do this, because you will defeat the benefits of content management via a database.

The entire functionality of zencart - including the MANAGEMENT of the data - is reliant on the data being contained in the database.

I had a similar issue back in 2004 (the year we started looking at dbase content-managed e-commerce) and we had a site that had over 5000 html pages describing products.

I hired a computer sciences student at a local university to find a way of extracting the data off those pages, and putting it into a spreadsheet.

When this was done (and I have no idea how he did it, but 2 days after giving him the task, he had the job done!) - we then re-jigged the spreadsheet to conform to the parameters of Easy Populate, and then imported the nearly 6000 product data-sets into the database.

Whole job took about 3 days...
