Column Layout grid Mod

I'm just wondering if all that extra data is necessary at this display level.

We have a column layout on one of our sites, and have:

IMAGE
TITLE
PRICE
ADD TO CART

(Whether you display these bits of data or not depends on your settings in configuration>>>Product Listing ...

... By giving the components a numerical value exceeding "1", you get them to display - "0" renders display inactive. Also, if you increment the numerical value, you can change the sort order, which is what you asked above).

In "product Listings" i set;

Page Name - 1
Product Image - 2
Display Product Listing Default Sort Order - 3

As you will see the I can not get the price to drop under the image. Any ideas?

OK I didnt get it quite like I wanted it but I think it look ok as it is now. I changed the css alto for the .listingPrice but thought I would revert the position css of it as I dont yet know if the boss will be adding a sale price and what the effects would have been. I may re address this later on.

We can't help if we can't see your site, to at least have a start on diagnosis.


The "Display Product Listing Default Sort Order" is not about the price, it is the order products appear in the page. What you want to set here is

Display Product Price/Add to Cart

So you mean that the server is not set up correctly?

but if I removed the file product_listing.php from this folder //includes/modules/classic/, then it works but only 1 column shows.
Please help!

Sometimes the internet just doesn't let a connection through. Works for me now.
Your output does cut off exactly at the point where the product_listing.php output should be starting. Have you double-checked the location of both files?

I see in view source that you actually have the flexible product listing version. When did you get it? There were some bugs I fixed after the first posting, and one I haven't found yet that breaks when using the rows setting.
