subcategory image

The subcategory image and subcategory name "Other Stations" is displayed above the product image. How do I remove the subcategory image and subcategory name completely? The category and subcategory name above that is enough, and I don't want to confuse customers by showing images on the page that aren't of this product.

I do use subcategory images for customers browsing a category. But even if I remove the subcategory image, it still displays the subcategory name in that location.

i couldn't find any setting in admin to turn off this feature .. but you can remove block of code from your tpl_product_info_display.php.

if you have override , then copy that template to your over ride ..

remove the following code

someone might know the setting in admin to turn off this feature .. i guess i would wait for answer before modifying any code

You might peek in the Configuration ... Product Info ...

Product's Category Image and Name Alignment Above Previous/Next Navigation Bar
0= off
1= Align Left
2= Align Center
3= Align Right

See if turning that OFF gives you the desired affect of removing both the Category Name and Category Image ...

Yep.. it dose work .. but i have to admit , I have spend soo much time on admin section and what needs to be on or off or sorted , very confusing. i hope version 2 , will address all this and group the related stuff much better.

yours is set to 0 so it wont show the image and link
