Attributes preview layout

I've tried searching for an answer to this question but can't find anything.....

I am adding products which have a lot of attributes - dropdown boxes, text boxes etc... and to be frank they look pretty messy when viewed in the product details. However, when I preview them from the attribute controller they all look beautifully neat and tidy! Is there any way of bringing this layout to the product info page?
I can't give a link to the actual product as the site is live and I can't activate the product yet, but I'm hoping someone will be able to help.

I have a feeling the only way to make your product details page look like the attributes controller page would be custom coding (expen$ive if you can't do it yourself, time-consuming if you do). Maybe changing between (say) radio button and dropdown attributes will make it look cleaner?

You may be able to do a lot of rearranging of that page by using the stylesheet, through creative use of float and clear in the definitions of the various page elements. (Things that appear one after the other in the code can be side-by-side in the page if you set the styles in a suitable way.)

But since I don't use attributes on my sites, I can't help more specifically without seeing the page, or a similar one.
