Problem importing data - Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted

I'm in the middle of moving my Zen-Cart shop to another host, and have run in to some trouble,

when I try to import my database backup, I get this error message :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5212796 bytes) in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/import.lib.php on line 245

what can I do about it ?

any help would be appreciated.

If this is the extent of the message you either have to break your DB into several installments or ask your host to insert it for you

How do I go about it, do I try to install it in a shop on my PC, or is there another way of doing this ?

Easiest to have your host do it...

You have phpmyadmin, you can export 4 sets of tables and then import them to the new host one set at a time

luckily I could still reach my old shop, and I made a new backup, but this time, I chose not to zip the file, and this worked fine for me, otherwise I would have lost some 1000 articles in my shop ...
