    Default installing to host

Hi i'm completely new to this and confused already!
I have a domain name and i am using 000webhost which looks like it supports zen cart.
I have downloaded zencart but have no idea how to install it or how to link it to my web host? thank you for any help with this.

I have to strongly suggest that you don't try to use a 'free' host for your Zencart site. Real hosting is cheap enough, and you'll avoid many problems.

    Then, start with this tutorial:

thanks for your reply what kind of issues might i encounter? i thought i would just use a free host until i actually had the site up and running then upgrade it, since i dont want to be paying if no one actually buys anything lol
I have installed filezilla but im not sure how to upload the zencart files to it?

Might be a good idea to setup a server on your own computer - and install to that first - you can do some testing before you go live that way.

I have got a little bit further with fileziller i have uploaded files and changed the settings to 777, however in the right hand column where it says remote site there is a public_html folder and a zen_cart folder, they both appear to have the same things in but the settings i have changed are on the zen_cart folder, should i change them in the public_html folder?

Just took a look at the 000webhost site - as far as I can see - you should have access to Fantastico on your CPanel Control Panel ?
If that is the case - you can do an auto-install from fantastico...?

Impossible to know everything - we've all been there
You can find out though - lots of info available.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastico_(web_hosting)

You will probably find quite a lot of criticism of Fantastico - but I guess if you want to make a start - it's the easy option.
You may see issues about security - and I don't know enough to advise you myself.
As you learn a bit more- you may decide to install the other way (FTP)
    Good Luck...
