Selling memberships

Well Folks I have two carts that are running so great that I have just gotten an inquiry about a cart designed to sell memberships. This is an old organization that basically is an international club. They currently do offline processing via postal applications and want to be able to do it via a web application. They do have some items that they sell related to the organization and also want to allow members to register for conventions online. I this doable with Zen Cart and if so are there some of those great modules out there.

This will be a complicated effort .
The new members will have to accomplish an application and then after approval be issued a membership number. Of course to make matters worse I will have to deal with renewals, family membership, life membership, multi year renewals and senior life membership all as products. So all of them will have some type of form involved., but one thing I am happy about Zen Cart beats the heck out of transact.cgi when things get complicated.
If you folks have some some more to share this 63 year old helper would appreciate it.

Well that is a good suggestion, but considering the organization is a not for profit outfit and I am a volunteer on a fixed income the pockets are very shallow. Therefore I will struggle link I always do I figure.

Well I figured out how to do it in a simple manner, if a couple items can be accomplished. Since the new member form is only for initial applications if I create a PHP product outside the cart can I keep a cookie up to send the member to the cart for transaction? Second I need to add two items to the order form the mod that Misty indicated was not for the current zen cart version.
