Default eeeeeekk... lost all product info

    Hi,
    Please can anyone help
I was trying to do stuff beyond my abilities tonight and tried to install a reward points module. It wasn't working so I gave up and deleted all the files. But now all the product info and the 'add to cart' button has disappeared from my website - www.jabulanappies.co.uk

The info is still visible in the admin area. Although it appears I can only use plain text editor now as well rather than html which was my default

I think it is probably to do the the SQL patch - I didn't really know what I was doing and don't know how to reverse that bit.

I'm on v 1.3.8. Please can anyone tell me what to do now?!

    Don't panic yet ...

I am pretty sure you just damaged a tpl_ file or a language file ...

What you can do is download the Debug Tool from the Free Software Add Ons ... and look to see what errors show up ...

That is going to generate files with errors listed in it ... be sure that when you try to see the files in your FTP program that you refresh the display as they will not show until you do ...

More than likely it is just a moofed up piece of code or a space(s) or blank line(s) at the end of a file that is making you "look" all destroyed ...

woooooooooo... thank you so much Linda.
That debug thing worked a treat and I had simply missed deleting one of the files

Thanks for the update and glad that you were able to fix the error so quickly by using that nifty Debug Tool that DrByte made ... Zen Cart Team rulez again!

    -----------
I tried to change the "contact us" link in the define_site_map.php in ZC to the "contact us" of my home page which is an external link. Obviously, I made some syntax mistake. All store info's gone blank. I replaced it with a untouched copy from a backup. No help.

    I tried as you suggested:
    1. Download and unzip Dr Byte's Debug tool
    2. Upload enable_error_logging.php to /includes/extra_configures
    3. Check to make sure my /cache folder permission is 777
    4. Open http://www......./store again. Can't see the link to site map or anything.
    5. Look at /cache folder, refresh the FTP display - can't see any myDEBUGxxxx.log file
    6. Upload enable_error_logging.php to /admin/includes/extra_configures. Repeat 4. and 5. Still can't see any error log in /cache.

    What else should I do?

    Please help.

Take 2 ... I did not read that quite right ...

Did you refresh your /cache after hitting the error page?
