subcategories

If anyone could help me with a problem, I'm not sure how to fix.
If you look at my site, http://twosistersartphoto.com, pick a category such as "Nature". Then only the subcategory title is showing, no photos. I would like either the photo titles to show or maybe the thumbnails. This page doesn't seem appealing to me. Anyone have any suggestions or a fix? Thanks

In the admin section where you created the subcategories, you can add an image for each subcategory. In the line where the subcategory is named there is a little green 'e' button. Click that to edit an existing subcategory (or category of course). There's a place there where you can select an image file.

Then the category images will appear where you now have just the text name.

I guess what you're saying is tie one of the photos to the subcategories..... What I think I had expected was to be able to click on "Nature" & all the subcategories open with all the thumbnails/products within that subcategory. I would have even been happy if just the names of the photos/products were listed under the subcategory. I'll play around with it. If anyone else has any suggestions, they are welcome.

It seems like an obvious need for many stores, which means someone has likely already done it and perhaps contributed it as a mod. Have you looked into the Free Software Add Ons (link top-left of this page)?

Look at yellow1912's "all categories and products on one page" thread. Search the forum - I forget the exact title, but that's close.

It could likely be modified to do exactly what you want.
