Main page text issues

Hi
I'm trying to set a font size for my main page it is either too small or too large.I can get the size i want using the heading format which i would rather not use.Altering the style sheet main body changes everything.
My Ideal size is the same as the product discription size text

Font sizes are governed by a number of classes and ID's in the stylesheet(s).

The best way to get the "look" you want, is to do real-time OFFLINE edits to your stylesheets - applying changes to relevant ID's and classes and seeing immediately what effect your changes have.

How do you do this OFFLINE editing?

You use FireFox browser, with the Developer Toolkit Add-on, available at the firefox mozilla website.

The Web Developer Add-on enables you to do many analytical tasks on a displayed web page, including finding out what style declaration(s) apply to a page element.

Use the tools to determine what style declarations govern the various elements, and then (using the CSS edit tool) apply changes. These will reflect immediately on-screen.

Note that this is an OFF-LINE edit, but once you have seen what changes you like, commit these to the real stylsheet in the appropriate template folder on your server.
