SnapShot [support thread]

Just installed this on another site after successfully installing and using on some other sites, and have run in to a problem. When run it produces:

can't open file

Debug log is:

Backups folder is set at 777.

Server info:

Zen Cart 1.39h
PHP 5.2.17
MySQL 5.5.19-55

Any ideas?

This is a permissions issue.

When you first run snapshot it builds the directory tree and files off the backup folder.

If you look at snapshot.php in your admin folder you will see starting about line 31 the tree and file build section.

You could manual build the folder YOUR_ADMIN/backups/snapshot/ and see if when you run snapshot again if it will build the files needed.

But if permissions are wrong snapshot still will not build the files that are needed.

Permissions are set correctly at 777. Already tried manually building the folder. Same result.

I have seen 775 work on some servers.
It all comes down to how the server is setup.
I would ask your hosting company about it.

Aaack!

I installed SnapShot into a vanilla ZC1.5. After playing around with some things, I decided to do a fresh ZC install from scratch again.

But now my renamed admin folder keeps persisting, no matter how many times I delete via ftp or File Manager. I suppose this is a good thing in case of attack, but I really want to get rid of it!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you setup a cron for the old SnapShot install? if so did you delete that cron?

I thought somehow a cron got set up automagically, so I checked via cpanel. No cron.

Here is exactly what persists:
RENAMED_ADMIN/backups/snapshot/snapshot_cron.php
RENAMED_ADMIN/backups/snapshot/snapshot_filewatch.txt

And yes, that is from the old install.

Who is the owner of the snapshot folder? 99, nobody
Sounds like you do not have the user rights to delete snapshot folder.
