Actually, I just made a 'new' contest. I can't shut it off using admin>configuration>contests without getting that same page.
I can only seem to shut it off using admin>tools>layout boxes controller.
I can live with it. I love the application, it brings me lots of business. I'll just keep having one contest after the other and just avoid the "contest is over" page all together. lol
I did have one more concern tho...I clicked to choose the winner, clicked the send email, but haven't received a response from the winner. I am sure the email sent to her, but after emailing the winner, it wipes out the list of entrants. Should the winner not come forward, I have no way of choosing an alternate....or do I?
No worries... I'm going to keep tinkering around to see if I can resolve that 'page' problem for future.
Thanks for your help.
Hi, I love the idea of this mod. I just installed it, and applied the various fixes through this thread to fix the date and things. I am having only one problem with it. As you can see here the content of the page is extending past the main content area and getting hidden behind my sideboxes. I've tried a couple of fixes I've used for other pages, but they're not working for this one :/ I'm using the apple zen template. Would anyone have any ideas what I need to change to get the lines to line up right and the content to get back where it should be.....also, is it supposed to show the 'whole' item description?
Thank you.

Hi Skip! Thanks for another great mod! Just one question on modifying the way this functions.
I would like to allow customers to be entered in a contest only when feedback is left. Is there a way that it can be integrated with the product review form? Not sure if this is possible.
Also, if it can't be done this way, can I still enable the contest features without an actual "Enter our Contest" link placed on my site? I was thinking that I could just have it run in my admin, manually enter customers when they meet the contest criteria (leaving feedbacK) and just have the contest rules/winners display on the site? Would this work?
I hope that makes sense. Thank you!
BACKUP
I have attached a zip file that has two files in it, unzip and change the YOUR_TEMPLATE folders to your template folder name.
You should rename the 2 original files on your site. And then upload these 2 new files in there place.
You will see in the tpl_contest_default.php file this code at about line 21.
That is the only way to activate and deactivate reviews required.PHP Code:// this is not in the data base hard coded here
// true = the customer must have a product review
// false = no product review needed
define (CONTEST_ALLOW_REVIEWS, 'true');
1. the customer must be logged in
2. the customer must have at least 1 product review
Note: the review needs not to be approved for this to work.

OMG you rock!! Thank you!
Just one little detail...I would also like to allow guests to make reviews. Can guests still make reviews but not be included into the contest entries?
Thank you again.
