Sidebox not showing up

Hi,

This is the first time I'm working with zencart and the first time ever posting here.

I've already hit a bump though.

I installed a template called cold steel, cause it looked like something I could easily modify to my needs.

This is the sidebox configuration I want:

Cart
Categories
Manufacturers
Newsletter
Sponsor

I've enabled them all in the sidebox area of the admin panel. But for some reason only Categories shows.

It's probably something I overlooked, but I can't seem to find it.

Do you have both LEFT and RIGHT columns active?

(admin>configuration>layout settings>Column Left/Right status)

and when you activate the sideboxes, have you specified which column you want them to appear in? (Shopping cart is likely to appear only when there is something in the cart - unless you set to appear at all times.)

(I am also interested in where "index2.php" comes from... This is not a standard ZC file. If you re-named this file, it could affect other parts of your store...)

Both columns are active.

I want a 2 column layout though.

I have specified them to be in the left one. How do I set shopping cart to appear at all times?

I renamed the file to get the stylesheet in order for the main page, so I could use a index.htm file to redirect people away from the site. There's probably a better way to do this, but I was to lazy.

Found it, have to say it's not even that complicated.. though sometimes counter-untuitive.

Anyway this thread may be closed or forgotten.
