Individual Shipping Per Item, and reduced cost per extra item

How can I charge $8 for a certain class of items, and for each extra item charge an additional $2 instead of $8?

Like if Customer wants to buy an item, charge $8

And if another customer wants to buy 2 of that item, charge $8 + $2

but i can't charge $8 shipping for every other item because some items are a different shipping price

Have you looked at the Table Rate module - setting it to price by ITEM, and then adding your variables accordingly?

Ah... I see your challenge... OTHER items may not be $8 for shipping.

(Why do you have such a complex shipping policy? Surely, most courier companies/shippers base their prices on volume and/or weight? How does your shipper charge you?)

I send the orders directly to the dropshipper and they process the order.
Their shipping rates for "Item A" is $9 for the first item, and $2 for each additional item
"Item B" $7 for the first item, and $2 per additional item
"Item C" $0.50 for the first 5, then free after that
