    Default Enhanced Who's Online Section

    Hello Everyone,

I was working on improving the who's online section of the admin tool since we tend to use it a lot on our own website due to high traffic and tracking statistics. As functional as it is, it has needed a make over for a long time.

Although it can be improved even more, here is a good first stab.

    1. Added icons for logged in users, guests, and spiders
    2. Added new icons for cart status
    3. Added small CSS tweaks to make reading easier
    4. Added a javascript refresh controller

If anyone is interested I can turn this into a really light module, as the only file it would replace is the whos_online.php. Let me know, and I can put it together. Or if you have input on what would make this "module worthy" feel free to post.

    Thanks,
    Danny

Look good, there is also a similar module in the addon you may want to check:

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

    Thanks Yello.

I did check out that module earlier and it is well done. But the only change made to the Who's Online section in that mod is the Timer for auto-refresh rates.

This is more of a aesthetic change with a little bit of functionality as well. So it may still have some added benefit.

    Thanks!

I would suggest merging the 2 modules into one since both serve somewhat the same purpose. That will make a wonderful and helpful module for all store owners.

Great idea :) I will contact the creator of that module and see if he is interested.

In the meantime, any suggestions improvements are welcome, thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about working with someone else, it's all open source and you can simply grab the code changes from the other mod and add it to yours. Most likely a faster way of doing it. Just give them credit for the code block in the file and readme and you're good.

I, for one, would like to add this to my site. I already have the Improved Who's Online installed in my site and appreciate the increased functionality that it offers.

    Thank you for sharing!

Zen Cart and it's community are the best!!
