Default Re: 1146 Table error on my database...

It's not that the site itself is a test site but just that I have been trying to use Protx in 'test' mode which is necessary before gaining access to the full Protx account. Do you think it would be enough for me to try a fresh install of the various Protx module files or is it more likely something is wrong elsewhere?

Thanks again for getting back to me

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the protx module. I suggest asking for assistance in the appropriate thread, or contact the author for support.

    Default HELP! - zen_orderGenerator error???

I have had to put the site to the side for a month due to family illness but am back on it and in need of help as soon as possible.

My site is set up with the Protx module to take payments. Completing the order all works fine until the last step, where there are 2 main problems:

    1. The payment goes ahead and shows up properly on the protx account but the order DOES NOT show up anywhere on Zen Cart Admin.

    2. Instead of being taken to any kind of order confirmation page, you are taken to a page with the following error message:

    1146 Table 'plantperfection_co_uk_skyegospel.zen_orderGenerator' doesn't exist
    in:
    [insert into zen_orderGenerator values(NULL,'')]

I have had a few suggestions but nothing that seems to hit the nail on the head. Can anyone advise as to what is going wrong? I'm really losrt and out of my depth here and the client I am building the site for is VERY keen to have it up and running properly.

    Many thanks,

    Stuart

Sounds to me like an installation issue with the Protx mod and or DB patch.... Try reinstalling it I would think.

Default Re: HELP! - zen_orderGenerator error??? (ProtX module)

Thanks for that. I have tried today reinstalling the module but still the same. I have been in touch with the Conor who designed the Protx module but he says it is nothing connected to the module itself. I have tried everything else I can think of - there were some hsbc files someone had put on for me which I have now deleted, but still nothing doing.

Is there anything else I can be checking at this stage? Any way of finding where the problem lies? I have tried all kinds of searches but cannot find anything that seems related.

    Thanks,

    Stuart

Maybe try a search for "orderGenerator" using the Developer Toolkit, searching *all* files ?

    Default Some progress...

Thanks Dr Byte - I never even realised that possibility was there in Developers Toolkit. So I found the file with the zen_ordergenerator line in it and it was in includes/functions/extra_functions/ in a file called something like functions_hsbc. I deleted the file as it must have been part of the hsbc attempts from a few months ago.

NOW when I complete an order, instead of giving me a white page with that error message I just get a blank white page (and order still not showing up in zen cart)! This is at least going somewhere which I am very thankful for as I was kind of beginning to give up.

Does anyone have any ideas? It seems to me (with no experience of this so am probably way off!) that there is a file that should be telling the computer to now register the order details with zen cart and take the customer to a 'order success ' page but it is not there?

    Any suggestions gratefully received,

    Stuart

    Hi Stuart,

The problem you are having is nothing to do with the Protx module. It's something to do with an old HSBC module you have had installed previously on your site.

The order being billed to Protx but not created in Zen Cart is the expected behaviour if the customer doesn't reach the checkout success page after the confirmation page.

The blank page you are getting now indicates that some sort of PHP error is having.. most likely the remnants of the HSBC module are trying to run and to open a file which you have deleted.. causing the PHP error and therefore the blank page.

I'll contact you privately about this as I don't think it's something that other people are likely to experience (and I don't want you posting your FTP details on the forum!) ;) - it should be a simple enough case of deleting the remaining HSBC files so they aren't trying to load any longer.

    All the best...

    Conor
