I just finished this tutorial:

How do I import my OSC database into Zen Cart?

I didn't get any errors, I didn't see any products or categories in the store either.

Would someone demonstrate Step 5 Compare database structures

using this sample

Log into admin area and see if categories and products are turned on (green box instead of red). I just did an OSC import into ZC and found all categories and products imported turned off. Also, if products don't show up in admin, check that product type ID is 1 not 0. My import they were all 0 from OSC and ZC wants them to be 1. FWIW I found the directions you reference to be cumbersome. I used File Maker, though one could use Excel. Export a copy of each database table from a fresh install of ZC as CSV, with commas not semi colons. Export each table from the OSC installation. Open both files for a table and copy and paste each column of data from the OSC file into the appropriate column in the ZC table. Then import the ZC table. If you get errors on a line, look for quotation marks (for example do a find and replace for inches to replace " with in.) and forward slashes (\) which ZC seems to not like.
