When I restore database photos do not show

Hi, I have a test hosting, and I was checking the restore functions just in case...
I deleted on purpose a category of my shop (t-shirts) and then I restored the database to recover it, with the following results. All is restored correctly, texts, prices, names etc, but the photos are not showing. They are uploaded on the server, and if I enter a product on the admin, it shows the photo name and correct path where is located on the server (includes/images) but is not shown on the shop. For it to show again I have to introduce again from the admin as If I were introducing the photo like the first time for new product, and then it shows.
I tried the restores with cpanel and phpmyadmin with the same results, so I think it is a Zen issue?
There is some way to delete a category, restore the db and the photos are shown as before?

If a full DB restore this should be automatic and I have done this for many shops without the glitch you are seeing....
