Default still trying to install XAMPP correctly on Vista

I have installed and uninstalled so many times trying to place the files in the right file folder that now when I install XAMPP messages say that Apache is already running, and the other services are already running to abort those installations and now the Apache will not run. Any suggestion on trying to find all the pieces to the services to delete?

Since XAMPP is written by the folks at ApacheFriends.org, I would suggest asking *them* your Vista/XAMPP questions directly on their support forum: http://www.apachefriends.org/f/viewforum.php?f=16

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but can't you use wamp to run Zen Cart? If so, here is a link to a tutorial

I set this up for my wordpress blog and it works great...except that I haven't figured out how to make the databases sync. Just a heads up for when you create the database. I haven't tried it with Zen yet, but when I set up my 2.0, I will...as long as I can figure out the database sync issue.
