    Default Product List Images Display

I am using the latest version of ZC, no addons (yet),
the only customization I've done is a few changes to some templates which were minimal and only changed some aesthetics,
    the URL (not yet live, still working on it) is http://www.s o u t h w o o d s b o o k s t o r e.com/zcstore,
    I'm not having any problems,
the cart is working just fine,
I've searched for a similar issue but didn't find one.

My question is, I'd like to display my images in columns of 3 (or 4 depending upon image size) and multiple rows instead of all in a single column. I'm not displaying any prices, text or addtocart options, nothing but images.

Is this possible, even with a contrib?

    Thanks,
    Sam Hughey

An assumption is what you arrive at when you get tired of thinking...

I've downloaded the files. I'm reading the instructions. I'm told:

IF YOU ARE UPGRADING, you do not need to run the SQL file if your site already has the 2 options for configuring the column-layout mod in the Admin->Configuration->Product Listing screen.

I'm not upgrading anything so I'm thinking I don't need to do anything else here expect for the 'if'. I went to Admin->Configuration->Product Listing screen, looked for the 2 options until I realized I don't know what 2 options I'm looking for. I assumed since I'm using the latest version whatever these 2 options are they are there but not referred to as options for configuring the column-layout mod.

    QUICK INSTALL:
    (1) Copy the product_listing.php module file into the includes/modules/YOURTEMPLATE folder in your shop;
    (2) Copy the template file to your custom templates folder,
    (3) and run the SQL file.

I don't have a YOURTEMPLATE folder in includes/modules but I created one and copied the product_listing.php module file into it. I also don't have a custom templates folder so I created it and not knowing where to place it, I assumed it should directly in includes/templates, and copied tpl_modules_product_listing.php into it.

From here I'm not running the SQL file since I'm not upgrading, right? But if I don't run the SQL file how will the change take place? Just a little confused, as you've noticed.

I'm in Admin now but I don't see any change, no option in Product Listing to change from rows to columns. What have I missed?

    Thanks,
    Sam Hughey

The 2 options are now in Product Listing since I ran the SQL but even after changing from row to column nothing changed. I suspect one (or both) of the folders/files I created are not in the correct path. Can someone verify if this is correct, please?

    Thanks,

You say you don't have a custom template folder. Have you created a custom template base yet, or are you using Classic?

Just making a custom folder won't do anything until you have the rest of the setup - see the tutorials.

The "upgrading" referred to upgrading the Column Grid mod, which you were not doing, so you were supposed to run the SQL.

You are right. I was sitting here looking and thinking and then it suddenly came to me that I should be placing those files in the folder which already exist since I am using the Classic template. I did and it works now. However, the images are sitting on top of each other (not overlapping) but there is no space between the top image and the next lower image. Before making this change they were doing the same thing but I changed the table spacing and corrected it that way but I don't see where I can adjust the table spacing with this new change.

    Any idea how?

    Thanks,
    Sam Hughey
