Editing the category menu, opening up the subcategories and box in the categories

Hi,

I am trying to edit the menu. I currently have over 1000 products and the standard is getting a bit difficult to navigate through. I want a menu like this one: www.microplex.no


Is it possible?

You want one of the expanded categories mods from Free Addons, followed by some code to limit what subcat levels show on what pages.

1000 products is not that huge. What does your organization look like (# of levels, # of subcats/cat, # of products/subcat)?

Which expands even the products, I don't want 1000 products listed in a sidebox. You can take a look at my current design: w.w.w.j . p ... x. no / hoved

There are at least two there, though I haven't used any of them. I have heard good reviews about fragfutter's Uncollapsed Category Tree, hosted on his site with a forum thread that points to it.
