The Maximum Value In Shopping Cart module is useful for people who need to set an upper limit to any single order in the shopping cart. Examples include store owners who, for example:
  • have an upper limit to credit card authorisations
  • wish to limit order sizes for stock control reasons
  • limit order values to be in line with credit control policies


Customers who exceed the set value are not allowed to proceed to checkout, but are given an alert message, the default text of which advises them to contact the store owner (this can be edited to suit individual needs).

The maximum value (default is 5000) can be set to any value specified by the store owner, via admin>configuration>maximum values. If the value field is left empty, the module is inactive.

There is (as yet) no "official" support thread for the module, and I regret that I am unable to take PM's on this. However, if I come across posts relating to the module I will attempt to answer them.
