Has anyone successfully put together a one page checkout with all checkout fields on the same page? Something similar to this?

You could have a look at blog.rubikintegration.com/2009/01/09/zencart-ajax-checkout/ -this possibility. It's not out of beta yet, but it appears to be close. I'm testing it as we speak, in a off-line test environment of course.
