Default Basic user manual for clients

Has anyone ever written a proper user manual for Zen Cart to give to their clients. I know there's tonnes of documentation for us developers/administrators. But i'm talking about people like me who sell websites using Zen Cart, so when it comes to my clients, all they need to know is:

    How to add a category
    How to add a product
    How to set attributes
    How to view orders
    How to edit EZ pages

And it needs to be very easy and very basic. Probably only 10 pages, not 1000 pages like the official Zen manual.

I'll probably end up having to create a user manual myself, but it's no fun task...

Yeah I reckon if nothing else has ever been made then I'll just have to take relevant details from that big tutorials section. As it stands though, it would need to be rewritten properly, screenshots provided, and laid out in a proper document such as PDF.

I'm just hoping someone has already done this...

if you use Firefox , then install a plugin called Scrapbook . you can save any web page as scrapbook and it has tools to remove unwanted stuff , like banners , navigation , etc ..

i know people on different forum ,converted their scrapbook into pdf but i don't know how they managed . nor i have tried. but i guess that might help to some degree..

Buy the book - click the banner at the top of the page. All printed and neatly bound even.

yep, kim is absolutely right , i installed one zen store and i bought two of those books , one for site owner and one for myself..
I don't hear from site owner ,unless he makes a big boo boo with the site .. but he can simply do everything that needed using the book ..

    That's the whole idea.

I agree that the book is great, but some people would be turned off by such a large manual. Those who may be busy running their brick and mortar store might like a simplified admin interface and basic documentation. These would have to be customized to meet their specific needs, but would be very doable thanks to the info found on this site.

I encourage all my clients to purchase a copy. Clients don't need to read the whole thing, but it's often very useful to be answer questions with a page number and save a client the expense of having me carefully craft answers to questions already well-covered in the book.

And increasingly I'm finding myself answering questions and developing extensions to features which they've found out about in the book.

With imminent release of zencart version 2.0, does this mean
zencart manual will be updated, and will previous purchasers get discounted copy?
