INdividual page colors

I've downloaded and installed the latest version of Zen Cart 1.3.8 and over the last couple of days have been successful in modifying it until I hit a very thick brick wall. This one has me stumped.

Over the last couple of days I've googled dozens of keyword combinations, changed, modified, commented out, or added to the stylesheet and just about everything else I could think of and have had no luck.

I'm trying to use templates that are all the same size but different colors for the individual pages and can't seem to find a way to do this.

Is this even possible or am I just wasting time here?

If there are any instructions on how to accomplish this I would very much appreciate a link or the right set of keywords to use.

If you look in includes/templates/classic/css, there's a readme file (CSS_read_me.txt) which (sort of) explains page-specific stylesheets.

I've been into the read me file and looked over the examples and tried everything I have found on how to do it with no luck.

I know this should be simple, but for some reason the light just isn't going on. What's going to happen is when I DO figure this out I'm going to feel incredibly stupid for not being able to see it from the start. Won't be the first time, certainly won't be the last.

If you create new stylesheet from existing, alter colours,then name it c_2.css, upload to your current template;s stylesheet
directory, look of template will change for all products
in your zencart category number 2
