Making myself nuts over subcategory not showing..HELP!

I am redesigning a site for a client-which I am finding MUCH hard than doing it from scratch!!! Hard to understand what the previous designer had done!

But I just need help with this one thing!!!

When you click on "Body" or "Bath" in the category drop down box you get an empty page.....where there should be (2) subcategories...and no I do not have products in the category ONLY the subcategories....

...I am sure it is a template issue....but cannot find it anywhere and have spent most of the day on this one issue!

Can anyone please help...

Switch to Classic Template to see if it comes back ...

Sounds like a problem with the module for category_row.php ...

Thanks Linda....I tried that but the previous person had put in the SEO module so everything was all screwed up when I tried that!

I will take a look at category_row though...that is one place I did not look! Thank You!

OK I have looked through EVERYTHING...reinstalled zen-cart and tried to view the template int he default zen-cart setting....and i am making myself crazy......the default zen-cart template is acting weird....I do not even want ot deal with that right now...

But I still cannot figure out why my categories will not show sub-categories.....I reinstalled the orginal file mentioned above
and am just frustrating the hell out of myself.....any other suggestions.....??!?!!?

If the default template is 'acting weird' then it's likely that the previous designer made modifications without using override files. Below is a list of all the primary files for that page - might be better for you to start from scratch by reinstalling fresh copies:
includes/templates/template_default/tpl_index_categories.php
includes/templates/template_default/tpl_modules_category_row.php
includes/modules/category_row.php
includes/modules/pages/index/header_php.php
includes/modules/pages/index/main_template_vars.php

Thanks Neville.....I did reinstall everything and that did not work....I will take a look at those files though----it least it gives me more options....I am so confused on this one and know it will be something so simple!

Did you check one setting in your admin for the Product Listing?

Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating
Show Sub-Categories on Main Page while navigating through Categories

0= off
1= on

maybe you want to check

configureation > layout setting > Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories set to 1
