Deleting one of the multiple images

I have figured out how to load multiple images in Zen Cart but one of the images is duplicated on the screen. How does one go about deleting one of the multiple images?

Please note: I am an Apple person and have zero knowledge of all that fancy FTP stuff and computer lingo so it has taken me a while just to figure out what you were all talking about when using the tutorials for loading multiple images for one listed item. I figure if I can make it through that, I can make through more of this unintuitive program.

Please help.

Sounds like you're out to give the rest of us Apple people a bad name. Unfortunately that fancy FTP stuff is most likely what you need. Indeed, it's very difficult to do site maintenance without being able to connect from your Mac to the server where your site is located via FTP or similar. That's nothing to do with being an Apple, a PC or a Linux person, just that very few of us have physical access to the data centers where our servers are held, so need the help of a File Transfer Protocol to make the connection and move things about.

Basically you're going to have to connect to your server and examine all the images to work out which are duplicates and delete one of them, and you're most likely going to have to do that via FTP.

There's a small chance that you may have a web hosting account with a control panel containing a file manager tool that let's you preview images online, but even if you have that's likely to be a whole heap slower than getting to know an FTP program. You might want to take a look at this one from ... err ... the Apple site.

Being as this is about images Mac and FTP I'll post here.

No worries on the FTP side, Im using Yummy which does the job fine, the problem is this

Uploaded a product with an image and Ive added a second image to the same folder via FTP, its the same name as the original with the _1 extension. When I go to my live page the 2 images ie front and back are displayed but when I click on the small image for the _1 uploaded it loads the original image instead.

Not that your question has anything to do with Macs or FTP!

Have you uploaded a large version of of your _1 image? If so, what did you call it? Could you provide a link to the offending page?
