Adding Sub Categories and Products

1.) Can I add products and Sub categories inside a category?
* The sub category also posses the similar nature as the parent category.

2.) Can I add a Quick download link of the demo file in the product detail page?

1) Not really. Core Zen Cart doesn't like it. There is a mod to allow it, but it's very likely that using it will make it very difficult to upgrade to the next version of Zen Cart.

2) Yes. Put the demo file on your server and then include a link to it in your product description. Alternatively you could use the manufacturers link feature to link to the demo file.

1) You can't exactly do it in a way that will work well all the time.

What you can do is put the products you want to be in the category each in its own subcategory, with the same name/image as the product. In admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Skip 1-prod categories, set to true. When someone clicks on the "product" link in the listing of subcategories, they will go straight to the product info page with all the details.

2) Do you know how to make an HTML link? (<a href="http://... )
Just put the link to the location of your file into the product description.

My No. 1 problem has been solved. very greatful for that.

but for the second problem... The product description is not entered by me. My client enteres the information by himself. I need to add a field or set the settings such that the file which he adds in the filename box of attributes can be downloaded.

for clear vision:
My client wants to upload and share his video files with others. He wants to add quick download link and play button for making quick download and playing the video online.

Your help will be appreciated.

Hi im a little lost with the explanation. Sorry its just that im new.

Im trying to do the same sort of thing. In my store i will be selling lcd tvs. So i have a product category as lcd tvs. What i would like to do is have subcategories for the lcd tv sizes. So for example When someone clicks on lcd tvs they will have the option to browse all 19"-26"-32" and so on by size.

Any chance this can be done
