Question about Better Together mod by swguy

I downloaded and read the material and website info and would still like to clarify something before such an installation...

I don't actually need the discount feature. What I want to do with just a few items is to have a display of options that are other items. And the point of that is because I do not wish to show the model numbers on the site, but am okay with the model numbers appearing in the confirmation email, which I forward to a drop-shipper who needs the numbers. What I hope to not do is create attributes where the model number is part of the short description (like, "Deluxe AR50-3").

1) Can this work without any discount or mention of discount?

2) Can this work anything like an attribute choice (drop-down, radio, etc.) since I'd rather the few items in question have similar page descriptions as all the other items.

One normally gets faster, more direct answers about a specific addon's features by posting the question to that addon's existing support thread, rather than starting another one in an obscure location on the forum.

The answer to your question is: you'd be better off using another cross selling module if you don't want to discount; Better Together is really set up for discounting, and no, it doesn't work as an attribute.
