how to exclude shipping from discount total?

The title pretty much says it all: how to exclude shipping from discount total?

I've been searching the forum, but there's no mention of this...

A question I can answer..rare!

Ok..in Admin, go to Modules->Order Total

In my store, I just changed the value of "Shipping" to a lower priority than the discounts.


Just like products, each factor in the total has a priority as to where it sits in the math.

Hm..that didn't help, here's the test order result:


SUBTOTAL: 99,00

DISCOUNT: -10,80 (discount is set to 10%)

SHIPPING: 9,00

TAX: 17,53

TOTAL: 97,20

although the priority has changed, the shipping is still factored in....unfortunately

any other suggestions?

Adn if you use the Modules ... Order Totals ... Discount Coupon ot_coupon ...

And change the setting for:

Include Shipping
Include Shipping in calculation

false

Don'tcha hate it when the silly code does exactly what we tell it to and we don't even remember the conversation?!

To much looking at the code makes you not see the forrest for the trees (or remember that there might be a simple solution in the admin)
